Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantel Clocks

Seth Thomas Adamantine mantel clocks were introduced to the public in 1892.

Originally invented by the Celluloid Manufacturing Company, Adamantine was a veneer which could be easily made to resemble onyx, wood, and most importantly, marble. This veneer could be produced in black, white, and a variety of patterns to achieve this effect. Due to their popularity, Seth Thomas Adamantine clocks were produced until 1917.

Shown below from the antique sellers and collectors from eBay are the many different Seth Thomas clocks incorporating the use of Adamantine in their construction.
